TIZA B., a Soul/R&B singer with a voice of such deep richness that one might refer to her as a female Barry White. The smoothness and the depth of feeling as well as the versatility that she is able to put into her near 4 octaves range has given TIZA B. the oustanding capacity to make you feel what she feels and see what she sees.
Born and raised in Michigan, U.S.A. with a musical background that goes way back. For as the saying goes, she was singing before she could talk. Having grown up in musical surroundings (her mother sang with, among others Al Green in his early days), she spent the better part of her childhood singing at the church with one of the best pentecostal choirs in Michigan, yes her vocal talent was already on the right track. But TIZA did not follow the gospel career road. She chose rather to seek her outlet in musical theater, where her scenical attributes were also put into evidence. Her love and activeness in the theatre lasted more than twelve years and ended with her move to Europe, where she joined her first top 40 band before forming her own band, BEE BEE HONEY, with composer/ guitarist Chris Bovet.
That collaboration has continued to evolve and spread its wings ever wider. It now reaches over into Tiza’s first solo project, The Soul of Jazz. But many other projects find Tiza’s mark boldly embedded into them, such as various house music projects, gospel and even educational concerts. But the main theme for right now is The Soul of Jazz, which is what this is all about. So sit back and relax as you take a little walk on my website. Enjoy yourself!
